'We show queer, black love through a lens of joy'
The creative team behind the animated film “Two Black Boys in Paradise” aims to celebrate queer and black love through a joyful perspective. Produced in Manchester, the project was a heartfelt endeavour for Ben Jackston and director Baz Sells, who have collaborated since their film school days in Leeds. The film was shot in Cheetham Hill over 18 months and has earned a nomination for Best British Short Film at the British Independent Film Awards, a fantastic recognition for the duo.
