Up to 200 performers expected at free street festival taking place in Stockport this November

Stockport is gearing up for the free Spectacular Sunday festival on 16 November, featuring around 200 performers across the town centre from 12-5pm. This vibrant event will be filled with entertainment like stilt-walking Christmas belles, comedy chefs, and bouncing snowmen, marking the start of Stockport’s Christmas celebrations. Organised by Stockport Council and local partners, it promises to be an unforgettable day, potentially attracting even more visitors than last year. Mark Ross from Totally Stockport highlighted the event’s unique charm, showcasing Stockport’s community spirit and creativity. Cllr Michela Meikle and Merseyway’s Victoria Nichol echoed the excitement, emphasising the festival’s role in uniting the community and businesses while adding festive cheer.
