The founder of a community shop, which sells groceries at lower prices than supermarkets, described its success as “a bit nuts.” The idea sparked during the pandemic while delivering food to those in need. They aimed to prevent food waste by creating a shop that relied on donations and offered a variety of items. Since launching, demand has surged, leading the charity to open 34 shops nationwide, boasting around 100,000 members.
