The hotel that adds a 'new dimension' to 50 years of a United super fan's journey

Lindsay Roe, 61, fell in love with Manchester United at his first game at Old Trafford in 1976. Now the branch secretary of Nottingham’s Manchester United Supporters Club, he organises trips for fans in the Midlands. Over fifty years, he’s seen football change significantly, but one major highlight has been the impact of Hotel Football, which opened in 2015. It enhances his matchday experience with buzzing atmosphere and socialising opportunities. Lindsay has formed a close relationship with the hotel and its staff, particularly Gary Neville, creating unforgettable memories. He attends every home game and appreciates the hotel’s facilities, making it a hub for both match-goers and those without tickets. As he prepares to celebrate the 50th anniversary of his first match this August, he looks forward to marking the occasion at Old Trafford. Hotel Football’s sales director, Jess Southworth, praises Lindsay for his passion and loyalty, calling him their ‘superfan’.
