The cheapest and most expensive postcode areas to buy a house in Greater Manchester
The latest data from the Land Registry shows a big difference in house prices across Greater Manchester. Little Hulton in Salford is the cheapest spot, with homes averaging £178,959, followed closely by Clayton at £182,536. Other affordable areas include Bolton, Ordsall, and Bardsley, with prices ranging from about £183,000 to £192,000.
On the pricey end, Altrincham leads the pack with an average house price of £596,067, followed by another part of Altrincham at £519,997. Bramhall, Chorlton, and Didsbury are also on the higher side, with prices peaking around £432,000 and above.
