'T-wrecked' Barney the Dinosaur booze ad banned

A bar’s advert using Barney the Dinosaur and the term “T-wrecked” has been banned by the ASA for promoting excessive drinking. While Voodoo Doll Ltd, running as MOJO Manchester, argued their social media was aimed at over 18s and that Barney’s nostalgic appeal was fitting for this audience, the ASA maintained that using such characters risks attracting under-18s and could encourage underage drinking.
