Suspect named after shooting on residential street in Salford

A man has been charged after a shooting on St Joseph’s Drive in Ordsall, Salford, on the evening of February 1. Police were alerted just after 8.15pm, leading to armed officers responding and a prolonged stand-off. Adam Wass, 36, has been charged with multiple firearms offences under the Firearms Act, including possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life. Fortunately, no one was injured in the incident. Wass, who has no fixed address, is set to appear in Manchester and Salford Magistrates’ Court today.
