Stockport wins big at Manchester Food and Drink Awards
Stockport shone at this year’s Manchester Food and Drink Awards, snagging the title of best food neighbourhood, beating out contenders like Chorlton and Altrincham. The local sandwich champs Rack also took home the food trader of the year award. Numerous Stockport eateries made a splash, earning spots on the shortlist, including The Little Sri Lankan, Cafe Sanjuan, and many others. Stockport Council beamed with pride over the community’s culinary talent, showcasing a vibrant mix of independents and beloved local spots. Alexa Stratton-Powell from the awards expressed appreciation for the resilience and creativity in Greater Manchester’s hospitality sector, especially during tough times.
