Stockport Homes appoints new chief executive
Stockport Homes has a new chief executive, Carmel Chambers, who steps in after Helen McHale’s 20-year tenure. Carmel, who joined the team in 2006 as deputy chief executive and is a chartered accountant, is passionate about focusing on customer needs and delivering excellent services. She expressed her excitement in serving her hometown, aiming to tackle housing challenges while leading a proud workforce. Stockport Homes manages over 12,000 properties, mainly owned by Stockport Council. Cllr Mark Roberts praised Carmel’s wealth of experience and dedication to the community, anticipating great collaboration to enhance housing services under the One Stockport Borough Plan.
