A wee Glasgow football club’s got a nice lift heading into an important Scottish Cup match, thanks to legendary manager Sir Alex Ferguson chipping in with some funds for their trip. Sir Alex, who’s always mentioned his fondness for the Govan side, paid them a visit recently. Benburb, who play in the first division of the West of Scotland Football League, pulled off a surprise win against Cowdenbeath, taking the match 2-1 in the first round of the competition last month.
