Pub evacuated in Manchester city centre after fire breaks out
The Bridge Tavern in Manchester city centre was evacuated after a fire broke out around 10.30pm on Monday, December 29. The blaze affected the timber cladding of the pub, prompting a response from the Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service (GMFRS). Fire crews from Salford and Manchester used a hose reel to tackle the fire and were on scene for about an hour. Fortunately, no one was injured. The pub’s management stated they’re working hard to reopen as soon as possible, with tradesmen already on site.
