Police refused to look for suicidal grooming victim

An inquest at Cheshire Coroners’ Court revealed that police declined to search for a victim of the Rochdale child grooming gangs, Ms Tetley, who had a history of multiple overdoses. Hours before her tragic death, hospital staff sought police assistance when she left their care unexpectedly. However, they were informed that since Ms Tetley hadn’t explicitly expressed suicidal intent, her leaving couldn’t be interpreted as such.
