Police issue update after woman found dead in Manchester city centre canal

Police have provided an update on the tragic incident involving a 33-year-old woman who was pulled from the Bridgewater Canal in Castlefield, Manchester, on November 29. Officers responded after reports of a body in the water, and a large cordon was established around the area near St George’s Island. Sadly, the woman later died in hospital. Authorities have stated there are no suspicious circumstances surrounding her death. The scene was secured for forensic investigations, which are now ongoing.
