Police issue update after motorcyclist killed on major Greater Manchester road

A motorcyclist sadly died after a crash involving a grey SUV on the A56 Manchester Road in West Timperley, Trafford, around 2:25pm on Wednesday, September 10. The 33-year-old rider was pronounced dead at the scene, while the car driver remained on site as police launched an investigation. Emergency services, including paramedics and firefighters, responded quickly, and an air ambulance was seen nearby. Greater Manchester Police’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit is appealing for witnesses and anyone with dashcam or CCTV footage from the area.
