Police charge man following reports of sexual assault in Crewe
A 25-year-old man named Taha Derwish, from Nantwich Road in Crewe and of Libyan nationality, has been charged with sexual touching following an incident reported on September 24. Police arrested him shortly after the allegation near the Royal Hotel. He’s currently remanded in custody and is set to appear at Chester Magistrates’ Court on September 26. Cheshire Constabulary has urged the public not to share sensitive information online that could affect the legal proceedings, emphasising the importance of ensuring a fair trial for Derwish.
