Police are seeking a man following a sexual assault on a teenager in Nuthurst Park, New Moston, around 1am on November 28, 2025. The girl had met a man in his 20s at the Newton Heath and Moston tram stop before heading to the park. Greater Manchester Police (GMP) have released an image of a suspect from the Failsworth area and have launched an investigation. PC Suliat Gboshe emphasised that the incident is a serious concern for the community and highlighted GMP’s commitment to protecting women and girls. Anyone with information or who recognises the individual in the image is encouraged to reach out to GMP at 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously at 08000 555111, quoting the relevant log number.
