New Old Trafford stadium on 2035 World Cup list

Manchester United has included plans for a revamped Old Trafford in the UK’s bid to host the 2035 Women’s World Cup, amidst 22 proposed venues. From 2031, the tournament will expand to 48 teams, needing 15 stadiums. However, the bid currently lists “Old Trafford in its current form” since the details for the new 100,000-capacity stadium weren’t detailed enough for FIFA’s assessment.
