Museum knows 'little to nothing' about new display
A museum has showcased thousands of African objects that were “given, stolen and forcefully taken” during the British Empire, but curators admit they lack proper records about their origins. Curator Lucy Edematie described the Africa Hub gallery as a “beginning” rather than a culmination of extensive research. The exhibit features items from various cultures, including the Igbo people, who are among West Africa’s largest ethnic groups.
