Met Office issues snow weather warning for parts of Greater Manchester TODAY
A snow and ice warning is in place for parts of Greater Manchester today, starting from 6pm and lasting until 9am tomorrow. Areas such as Rochdale, Oldham, and Tameside are included, along with wider regions in the North West and beyond. Up to 3cm of snow is expected, mainly on higher grounds, with the possibility of sleet and rain causing travel disruptions. The snow could start around 5pm in some areas and become more widespread after 11pm, affecting places like Bolton, Bury, and Stockport. Temperatures will drop to about 1°C, feeling closer to -4°C. Tonight will see a transition to wetter conditions with rain and drizzle, before a drier afternoon on Wednesday with a max temperature of 8°C.
