Merseyway car park to be lit up with projection showcasing 'everyday' Stockport stories
The free film ‘AMAZE’ is set to light up the Merseyway Car Park this weekend, showcasing the lives of ordinary Stopfordians. Running from 5.30-8.30pm on the 21st and 22nd of February, this projection features stories collected from local residents during creative workshops led by Stockport illustrator Molly O’Donoghue. In collaboration with Illuminos, known for creating stunning immersive experiences, the event aims to reflect ‘turning point moments’ that highlight the community’s uniqueness. Councillor Dan Oliver expressed that it’s an opportunity for everyone to come together, enjoy the vibrant display, and see Stockport in a new light. Molly O’Donoghue also shared her excitement about bringing local stories to life with colour and creativity. It’s poised to be a delightful event showcasing the heart of Stockport.
