Man's body found in beauty spot river as police tape off scene

A body was discovered in the River Spodden at a nature reserve near Rochdale this morning. Emergency services arrived around 9.40am, cordoning off the area near Healey Dell viaduct. Tragically, Greater Manchester Police confirmed the recovery of a man’s body. The entrance to the park remains closed, with police presence still at the scene. Ongoing investigations are in place as authorities look into the incident.
