Manchester synagogue terror attack victim was working for Jewish community security charity
A tragic attack outside the Heaton Park synagogue in Manchester left two Jewish men dead, Adrian Daulby, 53, and Melvin Cravitz, 66. The incident, which happened around 9.30am on October 2, involved a car driven at members of the public and a stabbing. One victim in hospital was working for the Community Security Trust, which provides security for the Jewish community. The attacker, identified as 35-year-old Jihad Al-Shamie, was shot dead by police responding to the scene. While authorities are investigating the motivation behind the attack, it has been classified as terror-related. Three other suspects have been arrested for their involvement. The police confirmed that one victim may have sustained a gunshot wound resulting from police action during the incident. Cordon measures remain in place in north Manchester, with increased police presence in the area. The Community Security Trust expressed its commitment to ensuring the safety of the community and praised those who intervened during the attack.
