Man to go on trial accused of murdering Oldham dad

David Warren Jack, 59, has pleaded guilty to the manslaughter of 55-year-old Paul Anderson, following an altercation that resulted in Mr Anderson’s death in Oldham last December. Appearing via video link at Manchester’s Minshull Street Crown Court, Mr Jack entered a not guilty plea for murder and manslaughter during a recent hearing. Legal matters that can’t be disclosed were discussed, and Mr Jack has been remanded in custody. He’s set for a pretrial hearing on May 5, with the trial scheduled for June 1.
