Man dies after 'car falls on him' at Greater Manchester scrapyard

A man in his 40s has died following an incident at J. Davidson Scrap in Trafford, Altrincham. Emergency services rushed to the scene on Craven Road after reports of a cardiac arrest linked to an object, likely a car, falling on him. Although the incident occurred around 3.15pm, the man was sadly pronounced dead at the site. Greater Manchester Police confirmed the news, stating that he was not an employee of J. Davidson but worked for a company based in Lithuania. The Health and Safety Executive is also involved, and a spokesperson from J. Davidson expressed their condolences and commitment to supporting the deceased’s family while cooperating with ongoing inquiries.
