Man denies murdering boy, 15, in e-bike crash
A man has pleaded not guilty to the murder of 15-year-old Devon Simmonds, who died in a collision involving an e-bike and a car in Middleton on July 22. Emergency services were called, but tragically, Devon was pronounced dead at the scene. Terrence King, 59, is facing murder and manslaughter charges. During a plea hearing at Minshull Street Crown Court, he maintained his not guilty stance. A trial is scheduled for January 20, 2026, with a pre-trial review set for December 22 this year. Mr King remains in custody until his next court appearance.
