Man charged with sexual assault after string of incidents at shops

A man named William Kidd, 26, from Stockport, has been charged with four counts of sexual assault following a police investigation into suspicious activities reported at shops in Greater Manchester and surrounding areas between mid-July and early August. The incidents involved various retail locations in Denton, Stockport, Macclesfield, and Handforth. In addition to the sexual assault charges, Kidd faces charges for using threatening language, recording an image under clothing without consent, as well as possession of an offensive weapon and a class B drug. He’s currently in custody and is set to appear in Chester Magistrates Court today, October 6.
