Man at centre of Cheetham Hill murder investigation named as tributes pour in
Vernard Murray, 26, was tragically stabbed to death following a car crash in Cheetham Hill on October 23 during a suspected chase. Emergency services responded to reports of a disturbance at around 2.25pm, but despite being taken to hospital, he later died from his injuries. A 19-year-old suspect has been arrested and is currently being questioned by detectives.
Family and friends have been paying heartfelt tributes to Mr Murray online; his sister Tammy expressed gratitude for the support during this “insanely painful time,” describing him as “forever 26” and her best friend. Various friends echoed similar sentiments of loss on social media.
