LIVE: All rail lines shut from Stockport as emergency services deal with incident - latest updates

The rail line between Stockport and Crewe is currently closed due to an incident in Sandbach, Cheshire, with emergency services on the scene. National Rail reports that all services on this route, including those from Northern, Avanti West Coast, and Transport for Wales, are either delayed or cancelled, and disruptions are expected until at least 1pm.

Trains operating between Manchester Piccadilly and Crewe will now terminate at Alderley Edge, with road transport set up between Alderley Edge and Crewe.
