Huge police cordon after man stabbed in Northern Quarter
Police are looking for witnesses after a man in his 20s was stabbed in Manchester city centre on January 30. The incident occurred around 8pm in the Northern Quarter, near High Street and Turner Street. Thankfully, the victim’s injuries, which are to his leg, are not life-threatening and he remains in hospital. Detective Inspector Jamie Heaton mentioned that officers are patrolling the area to reassure the public and confirmed that this appears to be a targeted attack. CCTV footage from the scene is being reviewed as part of the investigation. Police are asking anyone who witnessed the incident or was in the area at the time, especially drivers with dashcam footage, to come forward.
