After a stormy couple of days with snow, hail, and heavy rain, a yellow warning for ice is in effect until midnight on Saturday, with temperatures hovering around 3°C. While Saturday stays mostly bright, things turn unsettled overnight with wintery showers expected on Sunday. A new yellow warning for snow and ice kicks in at 2am, covering parts of Greater Manchester like Tameside and Oldham, with a forecast of snow mainly above 200 metres elevation. The city could see a band of snow around 5.30am that transitions to rain or sleet by 9am. Expect heavy rain throughout the day, with temperatures gradually rising to 10°C by 10pm.
