Homes evacuated as car overturns and smashes into Gorton beauty salon

A car crash on Hyde Road in Gorton led to the evacuation of residents from a flat above the Dixa Hair and Beauty Salon on January 8. The incident occurred around 6pm, involving two cars, with one ending up on its side after smashing into the salon. The driver fled the scene, and police are currently investigating. Emergency services, including three fire engines, responded promptly and worked for about two hours to ensure safety, using various equipment for checks. Thankfully, no injuries have been reported.
