Four dead in horror Greater Manchester crash as police close road
Four people tragically lost their lives in a crash between a car and a taxi on Wigan Road, Bolton, around 12.45am today. The victims included the drivers of both vehicles and two passengers in the car. Five others were taken to hospital for treatment. Wigan Road is currently closed as an investigation is underway, with debris from the collision scattered across the scene.
Councillor Ayyub Patel expressed deep sadness over the incident, offering condolences to the families affected and thanking the emergency services for their quick response. Greater Manchester Police’s serious collision investigation unit is seeking witnesses. They’re urging anyone with information, especially those with dashcam or CCTV footage, to come forward.
