Fire crews descend on street near Greater Manchester country park
A kitchen fire broke out in a semi-detached house on Ricroft Road, Compstall, near Etherow Country Park, around 8.20am on September 25. Three fire engines from Marple, Offerton, and Hyde stations responded, with a rapid response ambulance also in the area. The Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service (GMFRS) tackled the blaze using hose reels and worked on-site for about 90 minutes to ensure safety.
