A man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder following a shooting in Ordsall, Salford, around 8.15pm on Sunday, February 1. Armed police responded to the scene on St Joseph’s Drive, leading to a prolonged stand-off at a nearby property. The 36-year-old suspect faces charges of attempted murder and possession of a firearm with intent to cause fear. Thankfully, there have been no reported injuries. Currently, a cordon is set up around the area while forensic teams gather evidence. Detectives are keen to hear from any witnesses or anyone with relevant footage. They’re treating the situation very seriously.
