Britain First staged a demonstration in Manchester today, attracting hundreds before ending with speeches at Castlefield Bowl. Their rally, originally starting at 12pm, began after 1pm amid police clashes and counter protests. Jeremy Corbyn spoke at one such counter-demo in Piccadilly Gardens, where tensions escalated into fights. The local council, with leader Bev Craig, emphasised that far-right groups weren’t welcome, urging unity against hate. Police reported 11 arrests related to the events.
