Everything you need to know after man killed in New Year’s Eve stabbing

A young man in his 20s was fatally stabbed in Bury on New Year’s Eve around midnight on Tarn Drive. Emergency services attempted to save him but he sadly died at the scene. Two individuals, a man and a woman, both in their 20s, have been arrested on suspicion of murder and are being questioned. Police have cordoned off the area and are conducting a thorough investigation, appealing for witnesses to come forward. Bury Council’s deputy leader, Tamoor Tariq, assured the public that this was an isolated incident and there’s no ongoing threat to the community.
