Everything you need to know after bomb squad called out to Stockport street

A bomb squad detonated a suspected WWII memorabilia device on Schools Hill, Stockport, after being called out at 1.30pm. Together with an explosive ordinance disposal unit, they closed off part of the hill on February 17 for safety. Greater Manchester Police confirmed the detonation was purely precautionary, and the area has since been made safe and reopened. Residents had been warned via social media to steer clear of the scene during the incident.
