Everything we know as Met Office weather warning hits Greater Manchester
There’s a yellow weather warning for snow across parts of Greater Manchester today, starting at 4pm and lasting for 14 hours. Areas like Saddleworth, Littleborough, and Hollingworth, especially those closer to the Pennines, are in for it. Other regions in the Midlands and Wales are also affected, lasting until 6am Thursday. Expect travel delays with less than 2 cm on lower ground and up to 15 cm on higher peaks. Snow is set to start this evening around 5pm in places like Oldham and Rochdale, and 6pm in Bolton and Bury. Elsewhere, there’ll be sleet with light rain expected Thursday morning. Today’s highs are around 5C, dropping to 1C overnight. Stay warm and safe!
