Everything we know about the attack in Bolton town centre

In the early hours, an assault in Bolton town centre left blood splattered on the pavement. Police were called to Bradshawgate around 5:50am, finding an 18-year-old man with serious head injuries, who was then taken to hospital. A section of the area was cordoned off, with officers and forensic teams gathering evidence. A 17-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of assault related to the incident, and investigations are still ongoing. The victim remains in hospital as police look into the case further.
