Emergency crews race to scene near school after girl is struck by car

Emergency services rushed to a collision on Weaste Lane in Salford near St Luke’s C of E Primary School on Monday, January 19. A teenage girl was hit by a vehicle, leading to multiple police and ambulance units at the scene by Buile Hill Park. Thankfully, her injuries were described as non-life-threatening after being assessed by the North West Ambulance Service. Greater Manchester Police are conducting enquiries, but no arrests have been made so far. The incident caused traffic disruptions, blocking Weaste Lane and affecting local bus services, including the 70 to Eccles. The ambulance service has been asked for further comment.
