Cyclist rushed to hospital after south Manchester crash

A cyclist was rushed to hospital after a collision in Didsbury on Saturday evening at the junction of Lapwing Lane and Elm Road. Emergency services arrived at about 7.34pm, and the cyclist is now recovering with injuries that aren’t considered life-threatening, according to Greater Manchester Police. No arrests have been made, and locals noticed a significant police presence during the incident. Road closures were also in effect at the nearby junction of Lapwing Lane and Wilmslow Road. A GMP spokesperson confirmed the situation, emphasising the cyclist’s injuries are thankfully not severe.
