CCTV appeal after woman sexually assaulted on train to Manchester Airport

Detectives from British Transport Police are investigating a sexual assault that occurred on a train to Manchester Airport on New Year’s Day around 10.45pm. A woman was allegedly assaulted while searching for a seat on the service from Leeds. They’ve released a CCTV image of a man who might have helpful information regarding the incident. Anyone who recognises him or has information is urged to get in touch with the police via text at 61016 or call 0800 40 50 40, quoting reference 671 of 1 January. Anonymous tips can also be provided to Crimestoppers at 0800 555 111.
