Car bursts into flames in south Manchester as emergency crews rush to scene

A car caught fire on Princess Road in south Manchester on Wednesday evening (December 24). Emergency services were alerted around 6pm, and both police and fire crews quickly arrived. Dramatic images showed the car ablaze, causing traffic delays in the area. The fire service cordoned off the scene and managed to extinguish the flames, which had damaged the vehicle. Thankfully, no injuries were reported. A representative from Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service noted that a team from Moss Side fire station responded swiftly, using breathing apparatus and hoses to put out the fire and ensure safety. They remained on-site for about thirty minutes to handle the aftermath.
