Bomb squad called to Stockport street
A bomb disposal squad attended a Stockport street on Tuesday, 17 February, after reports of a possible unexploded WWII device. They arrived at Schools Hill in Cheadle around 1.30pm, cordoned off the area, and executed a controlled detonation. While the detonation occurred, it’s not confirmed if the device was actually viable. Greater Manchester Police has assured that the area is now safe.
