Blood seen on pavement following early hours attack in Greater Manchester town centre

Police are investigating a serious incident on Bradshawgate in Bolton, where an 18-year-old man was assaulted early on Saturday morning. He is currently receiving treatment in hospital for a serious head injury. A 17-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of assault. Crime Scene Investigation teams were seen taking photographs and collecting evidence from the scene, where blood was visible on the pavement. Police had cordoned off the area around a row of shops as they gathered information. Further updates will be provided as the investigation continues.
